'Queer Eye' Reopens in November After being relentlessly cross-promoted across the NBC line-up from late night appearances with Jay Leno to disconcerting primetime pairings with the cast of "Good Morning, Miami," the Fab Five of Bravo's "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" are finally ready to get back to doing what they do best: Mocking silly straight men. Bravo's summer makeover smash will return on Tuesday, Nov. 18 with the first of a string of new episodes.Following its July premiere, "Queer Eye" became a surprising hit for the cable network. Not only did the show attract more than 3 million viewers per week, NBC had a degree of success repurposing episodes in both a half-hour and hour-long format for primetime. The show also turned its team of fashion experts -- Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Felicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez -- from unknowns into pop culture icons.Early new episodes will feature a hippie postal worker with a taste for taxidermy, an ex-marine who yearns to be less officer and more gentleman and an attorney ready to embrace his baldness. It's also beginning to look a lot like a "Queer" Christmas, with a December Holiday Special. The new run of "Queer Eye" will also feature updates on several of the straight men whose lives were changed by the Fab Five over the summer.Plus, with many of its new shows failing, NBC has already said that a primetime network return for "Queer Eye" is a distinct possibility.
